ABOUT- LeFunk!LeFunk! bring a dance floor focused mix of soul, Motown, funk, disco and pop to weddings, corporate events and private parties. Formed in Manchester in 2010, the band build their live sets around songs guests recognise and want to dance to.
The sound works well when you want more than background music: live vocals and musicians create a focal point for the evening, then keep the room moving as the party gets underway. Their repertoire also reaches into other popular styles, so you can discuss the balance of classics and contemporary tracks for your guests.
LeFunk! have offered five-piece and four-piece line-ups, as well as a compact trio. Ask us to confirm the current personnel, line-up, set lengths and technical needs for your date. For the earlier part of an event, acoustic music or a solo performance may also be available. We can check options for your drinks reception or wedding breakfast alongside the evening band.
Tell us your venue, date, guest numbers and the timings for guests to arrive, dine and dance. We will check availability and coordinate the practical details, including performance space, access, power, sound and any music between live sets. If you have a first-dance choice or a particular musical direction in mind, include it with your enquiry so we can check what the band can accommodate.
Based in the North West, LeFunk! can be considered for events further afield, with travel and the final performance package confirmed in your quote.

What to ExpectLeFunk! is a covers band formed in 2010 in Manchester. They specialise in classic Soul, Motown, Disco and Funk but also cover dancefloor hits from other genres including Indie, Rock and Reggae. Every song is chosen for its dancefloor impact and the band will bring a fun, party atmosphere to any event, be it a wedding, birthday, festival or conference.
The band is available in three formats, the 5 piece, 4 piece or a compact trio, making LeFunk! the perfect choice for venue sizes ranging from the corner of a bar to large hotels and concert halls!
They can also provide additional live classical piano, classical guitar or solo vocal performances as background music during the earlier phases of an event, and an acoustic duo option.
The band normally provides a one stop – live band, recorded music and PA solution for your entire event, with DJ service, lighting and a radio microphone connected to the PA for you to make speeches and announcements.
As regards the DJ service, once booked they’ll build your ideal playlists in advance, and with immediate access to thousands of hits from the last 6 decades, can also satisfy the vast majority of music requests on the day.
For weddings your first dance can be learnt by the band even if it is not in their advertised repertoire.
For additional peace of mind, LeFunk! have deputy musicians who rehearse with the band and can usually cover for last minute emergencies and the band has Public Liability Insurance of up to �10million.
Set lengths can be adjusted to fit in with auctions, raffle results and speeches. Clothing can be funky or formal. Arrival and set up times can usually be arranged to minimise disruption to guests.
